This month's series looks at one of the most important things in the Christian faith—love. We will look at the three different biblical types of love, God's Agape love, eros "romantic" love, and this week's topic, Phileo or brotherly love. Join us as we explore Jesus command to love one another and how that love should manifest in those of us who call ourselves the Church, the body of Christ. Our main texts are 1 Corinthians 12, 13 and John 17. The message is called love in the middle because 1 Corinthians 12 talks about spiritual gifts (which God has given to empower and strengthen the church but the church often divides over them instead) and chapter 14 which tells how to use those gifts. Right smack in the middle of them is chapter 13 which speaks of what gives the power...You guessed it...LOVE!
